Getting Started with GSA Connect


First thing to do is populate your GSA Connect profile

Upload a photo and add a bio to your profile so members know who you are. You can also link directly to your LinkedIn account for easy uploading. Any changes to your Contact Details (directly below your photo) will be made on your main profile page.  


What is Open Forum?

The largest community on GSA Connect is the Open Forum. All members have access to this community. You can post a question or share a resource by clicking Network>Post A Message (be sure to select GSA Connect Open Forum in the To field). Any discussions that take place in the Open Forum will automatically be emailed to you in a Daily Digest the next day.

I only want ONE email a week, not one everyday

You can change your subscription preferences on your profile page. Click the My Account Tab when on your profile and select Community Notifications. Here you can check off a weekly digest option for each community and choose which day of the week you receive that email. 

Reply to Discussions by Email

No need log in to GSA Connect every time you want to reply to a discussion. Simple use the Reply button in your regular email client. Type your reply in the body of the email and click send. The message will be posted to the community you replied to. 

I Can't Join an Interest Group

When browsing the list of communities, all GSA Interest Group communities need to be added through on your main member profile. Simply click here to update your profile and select your interest groups. Click Save and navigate back to GSA Connect. You will now have access to the interest groups you selected.


I want to find a member in my discipline
Click Find A Member on the blue menu bar. Use the basic search or click Advanced Search to look for members by discipline, section, areas of expertise, and more.
